  • Customer Relations Online

Business owners know that a domain or social media channel should have its content developed around their visitors’ needs. So how do you pick what is going to work?

Actually, this query opens up much more possibilities because should you begin to see what your customers and prospects care about and are saying, you are able to do the next.

    • Develop better content, in multiple formats — text, video, graphics. Quality, relevant content provides a decent customer experience and higher visibility in se’s.
    • Discover service or product that you can be developing, expanding or dropping.
    • Improve customer support and product quality.
    • Gain insight into trends and develop strategies before your competitors.
    • Increase your return on investment by honing your targeted customer base.
    • Learn from success and mess ups. If a distinctive promotion or blog post is rather successful, you understand you might want to copy it. However, if you’ve had a flop, engage your customers to determine why.
  • Facebook Ads – Yay or Nay?

With Facebook ads, businesses have a totally unique opportunity. There are several things about them never before seen together:

    • They can reach as many people or more people as radio or TV, and in whatever country you want.
    • They have sophisticated targeting like AdWords, albeit on a different criteria.
    • The minimum spend is just £1 per day.
    • They are the lowest cost per 1,000 impressions ad in history. They average around £0.25 per 1,000, which is only 1% of the cost of TV.Which is unbelievable.

In other words, Facebook ads are mega-awareness raising, have good targeting, require very little commitment, and are unbelievably affordable! You have to give it a try to see.

  • Is There Such Thing As A ‘Least Effect’ Marketing Channel?

When considering the best way to utilise a budget, it’s worth bearing in mind that not all marketing channels will influence consumers in the same way. It could be like with the ‘blanket marketing campaigns’ with advertising on the radio or TV; where the targeting is very limited in scope and the return you see is often in terms of brand recognition rather than an immediate return, or it could be like with search marketing, where your ability to target people looking for your services is very strong and you generally see an immediate (or at least easily attributable) return. With so many differences in influence it can be difficult to say which is the most effective way, so you need to look a number of different factors to truly determine what is and isn’t effective, which are; branding and an immediate return.Because you know what the 2 factors you need to consider when determining the value of a marketing campaign, determining which is the worst and least effective form of marketing is actually quite simple. All you need to do is look at the platform which neither helps your brand or gives you an immediate return on your investment; cold calling. Cold calling often leaves a bad impression which can end up damaging your brand, and as people will often not listen to a cold call (typically hanging up within the first 10 seconds), your ability to sell products to the people you call is extremely restrained.

  • Marketing Your Blog

Are you struggling to come up with a marketing plan for your blog? With millions of different blogs out there, it can become hard to understand your place and goals for the content you produce. Below are different tips to help you and your blog.

    1. The point of you making a blog is to target a specific market, so the worst thing you can do is waste your time marketing your content to an audience which isn’t interested. Consider the type of audience you’re trying to target, make sure the content written hits the mark and then get to work.

    2. When writing your content, make sure it’s original. There’s nothing worse than reading a blog post which reads exactly the same as another. Make sure you add your opinion.

    3. Once you’ve posted your article, it’s time to get sharing on social media. This doesn’t mean just once. Make sure to also share at peak times for a week.

  • The Introduction of Twitter Polls

You may have been scrolling on your Twitter timeline recently and noticed users posting polls, wondering how they actually did that. Don’t worry, we thought the same! After a little research, we’ve found that it’s a new feature the social media giants are rolling out for users, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you will do so soon.

Previously, we’ve offered a few different ways to participate in polls — Tweeting questions and tracking replies, tallying hashtag votes, or asking followers to favorite or Retweet to vote. Now, you’ll be able to create your own two-choice poll right from the compose box and it will remain live for 24 hours. You can vote on any poll, and how you voted is not shared publicly. • Removing The 140-character Limit From Twitter DM’s

If you’re an avid direct messnger on Twitter, you would have noticed how you’re usually restricted with the amount of characters you can send in a private message to a user. Well Twitter have taken note on how annoyed users are when they have to send 8 messages in a row, to get their point across to their followers in a message and have taken away the character limit!

If you’ve checked your Direct Messages today, you may have noticed that something’s missing: the limitation of 140 characters. You can now chat on (and on) in a single Direct Message, and likely still have some characters left over.

While Twitter is largely a public experience, Direct Messages let you have private conversations about the memes, news, movements, and events that unfold on Twitter. Each of the hundreds of millions of Tweets sent across Twitter every day is an opportunity for you to spark a conversation about what’s happening in your world. That’s why we’ve made a number of changes to Direct Messages over the last few months. Today’s change is another big step towards making the private side of Twitter even more powerful and fun. • The Importance of Colour Association

When deciding on branding and advertising, you need to understand that colour is one of the most important elements. By understanding the importance of colour, we are sure you’ll think carefully about what colour you choose.

Colour is crucial when it comes to visual perception, for example when you look at warm colours such as red, orange or yellow, you automatically think bold and energetic. However the cooler colours, such as blue and green, show off a more subtle side.

It all depends on what your brand is trying to communicate, what type of brand is it and what perception would you like the average Joe to have? Once you work this out, you’re on course for the right design.

  • 3 Online Marketing Tips

We’ve come up with three simple tips which we think can help your online marketing campaign. Have a look and see what you think.

    1. Strong Call to Action – Make sure that your call to action is enticing enough. Tell your visitors what you want them to do and what they will get if they do click.
    2. Call Tracking Number – To help you measure the value from your online advertising, we recommend using a click-to-call extension in your adverts. This means that you can use a tracking number to identify calls.
    3. Mobile-friendly – With the different updates to Google’s algorithm, it is important that your website is mobile friendly otherwise you will be missing out on local consumers.
  • The Benefits of Google+ For Your Business

With Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn being the most popular social media platforms for businesses, you can see why many people may feel that using Google+, a relatively unpopular social media platform, is a bit redundant. There is some truth to, but there are still benefits to having a Google+ page for your business.

Google+ may not be as popular it still has over 500 million active users using the platform. While this number and the amount of interactions they have is less than the competitor they share the most similarities with, Facebook, it is still a significant number that shouldn’t be ignored. Also, because the platform shares a lot of similarities with Facebook, you can, to a degree, use the same marketing and promotion campaigns through Google+ as with Facebook, so you shouldn’t need to increase your work load all that much.

Another benefit that you can gain by using Google+ for your business is simply the SEO benefit that you get from having another active social media account. As having active referring content is a part of the modern day search ranking algorithms, social media accounts behave a lot like another validator, and this is particularly the case for Google+ as it is run by Google.
